Monday July 30 2007 - LONG TIME NO POST....

So it's been a long time since we've blogged. Not even sure where to begin. We have moved and are slowly settling in to our new place (most of the boxes are unpacked....except for those ones that I know require extra organizing of papers or photos...etc..and so I'll leave those boxes until I have more time to go through them). We've had a great time visitng with family. Kendall's brother Ray and his family were here for 2 weeks, along with other brothers and sisters...and it was so fun to see them again and watch the kids play together. These 3 were all born the same time two summers ago and they were a riot to watch (not really talking with eachother but grunting and using extreme body language at times). Too cute!! We cooled off on a hot day in Waterton. The big girls used floaties they got at Kale's bday party to float down the river a little ways.... And Brooklyn just enjoyed pretending she was as big as everyone else....
This next shot was at Wallys Beach...nice place... great sand! I have to say this was a little yucky but none of the kids seemed to mind taking a mud bath..... We also went to the Magrath Parade where the kids got a tonne of candy (mostly gum!!) and we had an awesome meal at the Quintons!!
I also made some pickles with my sister one night. Some of the bottles didn't seal the next morning, but after a helpful little tip, and the help from Kendall (of course) we just microwaved them for 3 minutes a jar and resealed them and voila....it worked. Here's hoping they taste as good as the batch I made last year!!!!
Other than that, not much is new with us. We are headed to the states (Kalispell) soon for a family vacation with all of my siblings and families. Should be a good time!!! The girls are enrolled in swim lessons in a couple of weeks. This summer is flying by!!! I can't believe it's already almost August. We love our new home and are so thankful for all that has happened for us this summer. We are also reminded just how important our family members are to us. We recently had a brother in law tear both tendons in his knees and are constantly thinking about his recovery and the challenges of building up his strength to walk again. The other day I bent down and felt pretty uncomfortable tying my shoes (this baby is BIG...I think...or maybe it's just ME!) and I was quickly humbled to think of my brother in law and the hurdles he's having to make. I have tried harder to be thankful for the simple things in my life and not take the complaining route so often. Hope everyone is having a great summer so far. Come and visit us soon! Oh, and here's a picture of our baby...that was taken before we moved. Those 4D ultrasounds are pretty cool! It exciting to think about this little life inside of me...and anticipating it's arrival. I'm quite content not to know what we are having. Life is just more fun with a few surprises here and there I think!!!! Girl or boy...we sure can't wait!!!! (Can't get it to upload right now so you'll have to wait for another post...which at my pace...will be in just over a month!!!!)
