Thursday August 16 2007 - Live Theatre...Gotta Love It!
So, this is more of a post to encourage the rest of you to hurry down here (or up...whichever) to see some live Theatre. Tuesday night, Megan, Mom and I had a little girls night out and the 3 of us went to Oklahoma! So awesome. The music was amazing and the costumes were so much fun. I have to admit... I thought once....fleeting thought but none the less, I thought...."I hope those dresses make a fashion come back". I was so impressed.
Then, last night, my sister and I took our girls to Seussical the Muscial and I have to say I was even MORE impressed. Totally a different show but off the scale, absolutely totally AWESOME. I can't even put to words how much I LOVED it. It was the best entertainment I've seen yet. Nothing could top it. And by the end of the show, the finale, you just felt so a part of it and I could litterally feel the energy of those performing. The Cat in the Hat is truely hallarious. We get a little portion of his fun wacky personality at swimming lessons each day (he's Ava's swim teacher) and I thought he was pretty entertaining until last night... he's MEGA hallarious!!! Anyway, it is well worth the ride!!! I totally recommend any theatre really but I thought Seussical was just too fun!!!!
Ava and Mya dressed themselves for our little date tonight! I love their sense of fashion! With Ava's stockings, she would have blended in quite nicely to all the other fun bright colors on stage! I love it!
My camera battery died (of course) so you'll have to check out Tanis's blog for pictures of the girls with the Cat in the Hat and one of our friends/relatives we grew up with in Claresholm (Ashley Toone). I can't believe she's already as old enough to have graduated High School. I feel SO old!!!
The only sort of sad thing, is that the show ended just before 10pm (a little late....Mya barely fell asleep 5 minutes before the end but I thought she did so well to stay awake for as long as she did after her bedtime and such a busy day swimming and playing all day in the hot sun).
Anyway, it's a must see!!!! (we've got room if anyone needs to crash after the show!!! he he.)
