Thursday February 7 2008 - THANK GOODNESS WE HAVE A PATIENT BABY!
Here's a little look into what this little boy puts up with. I had just got him to sleep and put him into the swing to trick him into thinking he was being held (this little man LOVES to be held). I began to clean up the lunch mess only to look up and catch this happening. It was too funny watching her pry his eyes open while saying " genty (gently)...wake up Dane ". He didn't even seem one bit disturbed by such a rude awakening!! He's such a patient baby!!
So after a little bit of playing (or putting up) with Brooklyn, Mya had to have a turn before I tried AGAIN to get him to sleep. Mya LOVES to make him smile. Like this morning, she was eating breakfast with the rest of us....and decided to take a little time out to go over to the living room where Dane was on the floor just to get some smiles from him.
He is seriously the most content baby!! I should really knock on wood but so far I am just amazed at how easy going he is. And of all days I'd expect him to be a little crabby it would be today. We just spent all morning at the Hospital waiting for the Doctor to come on call and give Ava a couple stitches. Brooklyn had to search her body for scratches to show the doctor to. When he asked how it happened she thought for a moment and said "Bam...and Kale" (her cousins: Sam and Kale). We'll be having a little lesson on "LYING" later. What a stinker. Then after she watched him put the two stitches in Ava, she says "My turn". She'd have let him to. Brooklyn seriously makes me laugh. Never a dull moment with her around. More on that excitement later (now that I can post a video....I'll have Ava tell you the story). So we spent the morning there...then home for 20 min. and then back to get Mya from Kindergarden. Now that lunch is over....I know he's dying to get some sleep!!! He's drifted off in my arms as we speak...or rather "write".
On a sort of happier note..... last night he slept a whopping 6 hours straight. Of course I was up every hour checking on him, wondering why he wasn't wanting to wake up to eat (he had his 2 month shots and I kept feeling him to see if was running a fever or something). But so far so good! Hopefully he'll pull the same thing again tonight and this time I'll just enjoy the long stretch!
