Tuesday June 24 2008 - Pay it Forward

So I forgot I have to do something on my blog since I was the lucky winner on Tanis's blog a week or so ago. Thanks to her....I am steadily gaining weight on that tasty fudge she brought me! Thanks A LOT TANIS!!!!! (You just don't want to share your clothes with me do you??) Anyway, so I've been thinking a lot today about the whole idea of paying it forward. Our little community here witnessed something amazing last night. I just feel so privileged to have been there to see it. Seriously, I couldn't get over the size of the line up of people waiting (and HAPPILY waiting at that!). Not often you'll find people waiting in a line for an hour... just for a hot dog or burger, and hear no complaining about the speed that line was moving! Anyway, here's who the fundraiser was for.... and that's the even more amazing part! http://camcor.vox.com/ Anyway, if that doesn't tug at your heart strings.....???????? I just feel for that sweet family and what they are struggling with right now and this huge outpouring of love and support for them. It's really heart warming! So that's my pay it forward. With Canada Day coming up, how thankful I am for this amazing country we live in... and even more especially for this special town we call home!
