Wednesday October 10 2007 - A LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR...

I don't quite feel like typing much lately, but since I have a moment I thought I'd post some pictures. Aren't pictures worth a thousand words anyway? We had a great Thanksgiving. I ate WAY too much. It was great to spend time with family on both sides. Somehow I didn't get any shots of the time spent with my family this year (perhaps I was in the corner eating still....or just trying to defend myself against why Ava was teasing uncle Chad so much. Really, it had nothing to do with me but it was good for a laugh anyway!!). That's probably her favorite thing to do now, tease uncle Chad, and really, who can blame the kid? We snuck away for a bit on Saturday to visit my parents grave. It was good to take the girls there and talk a little about the people we miss in our lives (on both sides of our family...not just mine!!!).
We had a fun Nauvoo FHE at our house where Grandma and Grandpa gave the lesson and then the girls got to make some of these......mmmmm! Brooklyn was pretty proud of herself when she finally figured out how to do it. And voila....darling little gingerbread men and women!!!
Here's a shot I took as someone was brave enough to request a cousins picture at Thanksgiving with the Hardy clan. Now that's a ton of kids! Notice the one on the front, Brooklyn....(the loudest one there). I didn't see anything but it looks like she must have elbowed Tanner in the face or something! Caught her in the act (too bad this wasn't the first time!!!). Sorry Tanner man!
We also finally got to meet our newest little cousin...sweet little Aubrey Hardy. She's quite the little doll. I enjoyed a little cuddle with her (and when I say little....I mean little). Somehow my own little sweet heart Brookie kept getting in the way of some peaceful R&R.
She has me a little scared for when this new baby of ours arrives. She loves babies...just a little too hard is all!! Hence why we did a few of HER favorite things this morning (played outside, jumped on the tramp, went to stores, got the mail, played at the park FOREVER). I'm hoping that we can get in some good one and one time before reality sinks in. And finally, some more fun raking leaves on Monday as we loaded them into Grandpa's truck. Whether on the ground in a pile or piled in the truck, my girls found them irrisistable to jump on. I really need to get some things organized...but thought I'd just post a few shots from this past week. We are very blessed to have such wonderful families that provide us with so many good times and memories!!!!
